My golf career began in Amarillo, Texas in 1989 as an entry level Assistant Professional at Ross Rogers Municipal Golf Course. However, I’d say that I really got the bug to get in the Golf Business when I became marshal a couple days a week at the Campus Course at Texas A&M while in college. It was great college job and I could play free golf while I was attending school! After playing too much golf in College Station and not keeping my grades up, I went back home to Amarillo where I started working at Ross Rogers Golf Course while attending West Texas State University. After 2 ˝ years at Ross Rogers, I moved to San Antonio to the Club at Sonterra to continue my Apprenticeship. I was in San Antonio for another couple of years before getting my first 1st Assistant Position at Bluebonnet Hill Golf Course in Austin. It worked out great for my family as I was able to learn from some great mentors and my wife was able to finish school and get her degree at UT. She currently works in the Special Education field in Pflugerville. At age 25 I got my first Head Professional job in Odessa, Texas at Ratliff Ranch Golf Links. After eight years in Odessa I came back to Austin, this time as the Head Professional at Bluebonnet Hill. During my time in Odessa, I really got the teaching bug. I began training at the Hank Haney Teaching Center in McKinney to become a better teacher. As you’ll learn about me, you’ll see I love to teach and will be spending a lot of time of the range trying to help anyone and everyone that wants help. I love working with any level of player that has the passion for improvement. I have students that want to play at the highest level and I have students that just want to get the ball in the air! Whatever level you are, I want to jump in and help you achieve your goals. I love working with juniors and have loved seeing the growth of our incredible junior program at Cimarron Hills. I love watching kids grow up around golf and develop the same passion for it as I did!
